New Chapter Begins as Daifuku Oceania and Gold Coast Airport Strengthen 15-Year Operations Partnership.

Daifuku Oceania is proud to announce the renewal of its long-standing partnership with Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) and Gold Coast Airport (GCA) as the awarded contractor for the operations and maintenance of the airport’s baggage handling system (BHS), aerobridges, and self-bag drop units.

This renewed agreement further strengthens the 15-year relationship between Daifuku and GCA, solidifying Daifuku’s role in ensuring the airport’s operational efficiency and continued growth.

As part of the agreement, Daifuku will provide round-the-clock support for Gold Coast Airport’s baggage handling system, overseeing the seamless baggage flow. The contract also extends to maintaining the airport’s aerobridges and self-service passenger solutions units, further streamlining passenger experience and reinforcing operational reliability.  Corrective and preventative maintenance measures will be employed across all systems, ensuring safe, high-quality, and reliable service to all airlines and passengers.

As the country’s sixth busiest airport, Gold Coast Airport currently welcomes more than 6.2 million passengers a year and contributes $514 million to the local economy.
